Travels in March

I started out the month of March in Great Bend and ended in Kansas City! On March 1, I spoke at the annual meeting of the CKLS. While at CKLS headquarters (also the Great Bend public library), I toured the talking books program and met the good folks that run that program; I also saw the wonderful and extensive collection of youth services materials assembled by Marquita Boehnke.

During the month I attended the KASL Council meeting near Wichita, took part in a two-day retreat with the Kansas Humanities Council in Lawrence, took part in the Kan-ed UAC meeting in Girard, attended the SLIM advisory council meeting in Emporia, and ended up the month speaking to the health science librarians at KU Med in Kansas City.
